Excerpt:
I’m the project manager of a network of imaging core facilities in Germany (German Bioimaging). The network has been started quite recently due to the need to create a collaborative environment and common standards for the people involved. My work is to coordinate this network: I organize the workshops, contact the scientists involved and sometimes I have to kick their ass (in a friendly way) to get some work done, too. I also take care of the content we discuss during the meetings and I can really influence it. After two years of working on the network, we are now receiving really good feedback, especially about our training programs.
